Demons Team in 2009

Okay, as I originally thought we will not be fielding the Demons in the Great Plains Lacrosse League in 2009. The mini survey I posted back around April 22 yielded very few votes (6 to be exact). Of those, only four people said they could make it all or most of the Saturdays; I'm one of them...
However, we will be going ahead with the local summer league (details should appear next week). This gives us the chance to train guys in the ways of lacrosse, recruit additional players, and let the current Valley juniors gain a year and strengthen our ranks. We will attempt to make opportunities to play exhibition games against regional opponents in the GPLL throughout the summer. Most of the cities involved do not have summer leagues and would be more than happy to play "one more game." We will play those games as the Demons!
In the meantime, show your support by visiting the Central Iowa Lacrosse Association store and picking up some Demons gear. There are Demons shorts, t-shirts, and CILA reversible jerseys. I get no money from the store - my commission was waived to get you the lowest prices possible! I figure wearing the gear around will spread word throughout the Des Moines metro area about lacrosse and our team...
