Your Design Here XX--------XX

Although this was originally mentioned in the Des Moines Demons introduction post, I want to reiterate that I am currently looking for locally designed logos for the Des Moines Demons Lacrosse team. Suggestions have been made to me about having a local school art class design a logo for the club, but I want to offer it up to any potential graphic designers out there. Obviously the current text title I posted is weak so WE NEED SOMETHING BETTER.

The Demons need a sick logo, one that is worthy of being on a lacrosse helmet. In the near term, the logo will adorn this site, the Central Iowa Lacrosse Association Site, and any other site I use, including the Lacrosse Forums and The Warrior Nation. Hopefully the logo will eventually appear on jersey sleeves and fan wear as well. Although the color poll is still open, the early returns strongly suggest that the Demons will wear black, red, and white. The poll allows for a fourth color, but you are free to add your own fourth color if you desire.

Design whatever type of logo you want. Specify if it is a general use logo, a helmet-specific logo, jersey sleeve logo, fan wear logo, etc. Please avoid using copyrighted material since the ultimate goal is to have a logo that can be used by the team for identification and marketing. The submission contest will be open until March 15, 2009. Once all of the submissions are received, they will be posted and some sort of poll will be devised. Each logo will be credited to its creator and the overall winner will be featured in an article on the Demons' website.*

To submit your artwork, send me an email with the image attached. Include your name, age, credentials and personal website (if desired). Also include this text in the body of your email:

I, (your full legal name), here by submit this artwork to the Central Iowa Lacrosse Association for the express purpose of its use in promoting lacrosse in Central Iowa. The artwork may be used on the various Central Iowa Lacrosse Association websites, equipment, apparel, and merchandise. At this time, I acknowledge that Central Iowa Lacrosse is not providing monetary compensation or goods for my intellectual property. I understand that the Central Iowa Lacrosse Association will credit me as the designer of the submitted artwork. I duly acknowledge and swear that this artwork is my original creation and has been intended for use by the Central Iowa Lacrosse Association. By typing my name and city and state of residence below, I am certifying the above is factual and binding.

*Unfortunately, there will be no monetary or physical reward at this time. At such a time as funds or material goods bearing the winning logo become available, the Central Iowa Lacrosse Association will reconsider providing compensation to the designer.
